  1. Hypothermia is a medical problem. You get hypothermia by getting too cold. Your body temperature gets too low. When your body gets cold enough, it cannot work the way it normally does.
    The children got lost in the woods overnight. It was cold and rainy. By the time the rescue team found them in the morning, they both had hypothermia.
