Requests for adminship
[change]- MathXplore · (talk · contribs · deleted · cross-wiki · change count · entries created · auto edits · logs · block log · rights log · CentralAuth) (assign permissions)
Good day all. I would like to nominate MathXplore to be an admin here, on the Simple English Wiktionary. MathXplore has been rather diligent in categorizing pages, combating the vandalism we have (little, but it's not due to MathXplore's activity level). MathXplore's activity level is also what is expected of an admin. I believe that MathXplore meets the stipulated criteria listed at Wiktionary:Criteria for adminship. --Minorax (talk) 04:01, 30 December 2023 (UTC)
- (Comments from the candidate) Nomination was accepted at special:diff/515385. For previous experiences of advanced permissions, I have global rollback (discussion) and English Wikiversity curator (Deletion log, Protection log, Import log, Move log). Questions will be answered as soon as possible. Thank you for the discussion. MathXplore (talk) 08:14, 30 December 2023 (UTC)(Fixed comment position, MathXplore (talk) 08:16, 30 December 2023 (UTC))
- Support As nominator. Minorax (talk) 04:01, 30 December 2023 (UTC)
- Support --Brett (talk) 09:58, 30 December 2023 (UTC)
(Reminder) Wiktionary_talk:Requests_for_permissions#Duration_of_RfXes says that "All RfXes shall last at least 7 days and no more then 14 days". I would like to remind that more than 7 days have passed since the start of this discussion. MathXplore (talk) 14:02, 7 January 2024 (UTC)(Fixed indent, MathXplore (talk) 14:03, 7 January 2024 (UTC))
Requests for bureaucratship
[change]- Minorax · (talk · contribs · deleted · cross-wiki · change count · entries created · auto edits · logs · block log · rights log · CentralAuth) (assign permissions)
Hi all. As asked by Brett just now, I'd like to request for the 'crat flag to help out with any available task as and when Brett isn't available. And since that there isn't a flood flag for admins here, having the 'crat flag would allow me to make myself a bot to do mass deletions, etc. --Minorax (talk) 15:47, 23 May 2020 (UTC)
- Support Friendly, good admin, experienced, and awesome Naleksuh (talk) 17:19, 23 May 2020 (UTC)
- Support. Looks good to me. Hiàn (talk) 00:54, 24 May 2020 (UTC)
This request, unfortunately seems not to be possible as a community appointing a bureaucrat needs at least 6 permanent administrators. Thank you for volunteering,Vermont (talk) 12:50, 27 May 2020 (UTC)- As it seems local crats can appoint other local crats, the above would not seem to apply, so support. Vermont (talk) 13:20, 27 May 2020 (UTC)
- I am confused about who will close the request though. The only bureaucrat on this wiki is Brett, but he is the nominator. Will it be closed by the nominator, or a steward since no other bureaucrat is available to? Naleksuh (talk) 00:36, 28 May 2020 (UTC)
- From what I know, it should be done by an uninvolved crat. If there is a clear, or somewhat clear, consensus to promote a user, it can still be done by the nominator. --Minorax (talk) 14:02, 28 May 2020 (UTC)
- I'm comfortable with that, as long as there are no objections.--Brett (talk) 17:39, 28 May 2020 (UTC)

Requests for rollback
[change]- ImprovedWikiImprovment · (talk · contribs · deleted · cross-wiki · change count · entries created · auto edits · logs · block log · rights log · CentralAuth) (assign permissions)
I have rollback on simplewiki, enwiki, and wikidata. I know when and when not to use rollback. The reason there aren't many undos on this account is because I haven't come across any vandalism (it seems to be not too common here, thankfully), but I am going to be more active here and expect to be patrolling here for any vandalism along with creating some entries for the foreseeable future. I have had a read over the local policies and guidelines and have a reasonable understanding for the purposes of identifying vandalism. Thanks, --IWI (talk) 17:00, 23 August 2020 (UTC)
- Leaving this open to see if they're any comments. --Minorax (talk) 09:00, 24 August 2020 (UTC)

Currently I fight spam and vandalism across Wikipedia global sites, most of my edits to other Wikipedia’s have been to fight spam/vandalism. I am currently a rollbacker, patroller and reviewer on the English Wikipedia and a rollbacker on Wikidata. I need rollback here so that i can patrol edits here using SW viewer on toolforge. Regards Synoman Barris (talk) 07:41, 24 August 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose This request is your first edit here, to add you should be able to enable the global queue, which includes this wiki, in SWViewer. See m:SWViewer --Minorax (talk) 09:00, 24 August 2020 (UTC)
- @Minorax: Hello, i already tried that, this wiki doesn’t appear, I have been using SW viewer for some time now and only if one has local/global rollback will this wiki appear and that’s what I am requesting here. I also admit this is my first edit here, but I mostly do patrolling work in most wikis ( check from my contributions). I will understand if this request is denied. Regards --Synoman Barris (talk) 09:11, 24 August 2020 (UTC)
- The reason is that there are no IPs or new editors editing this wiki. --Minorax (talk) 13:32, 24 August 2020 (UTC)

I would like to request rollback permission so that I can remove vandal/bad changes more easily. I am already familiar with rollback feature as I have it on enwiki, simplewiki, bnwiki, hiwiki and wikidata. Thanks! –– T@hmid (T@lk) 05:14, 30 April 2021 (UTC)

Hi. I've been active here for several months. Quite a lot of my work here has been anti-vandalism. I'm requesting rollback, as I'd like to be able to undo changes easier. I have the rollback permission on enwiki, and simplewiki through having the admin permission, so I know when and when not to use. Thanks, --Ferien (talk) 15:36, 1 September 2021 (UTC)

I would like to have the rollbacker rights at here, so I can revert bad changes more easily. I already have the rollback feature at simple English Wikipedia and I'm sure about how to use it. --MathXplore (talk) 08:10, 1 November 2022 (UTC)

I would like to have the rollbacker rights at here, so I can revert bad changes more easily. I have experience in RC patrolling and can identify the vandal edit easily. Moreover, have the rollback feature at Simple English Wikipedia. I want to work in more projects for increasing my cross-wiki demonstration works. --DRC-B5 (talk) 11:01, 15 February 2023 (UTC)

I have extensive experience in using rollback. I am a graduate of the CVU. I’m slowly venturing out other smaller wikis to assist them. @MathXplore can attest to this. In 5ish years I have never had them removed or misused them. I tried using it today but it would not let do the rollback. I also do not see where I can get IPExempt, I’m waiting on Simple to grant both IPExempt and patroller as I will start travelling and will be out living in hotels and planes for three weeks a month as part of our new program I’m running. Thank you for your attention and please ping me so I can see any questions you have or the result. Thanks! Edit well! - PDLTalk to me!Please don't eat da 🐑! 10:31, 20 March 2024 (UTC)
- Your edit count is lower than many users listed at Special:ListUsers/rollbacker. For local rollback permissions, I suggest you to gain more experiences at this project. We don't auto-offer rollback for simplewiki rollbackers. Please see Wiktionary:Requests_for_permissions/Archive_9#User:DRC-B5 for a recent example. Instead local rollback, I suggest m:SWViewer for you.
For patroller permissions at this project, please see Wiktionary:Autopatrol.
If you have more actions at here and need IPBE, please let us know how long it should be (weeks or months?).
I hope this can help you. MathXplore (talk) 12:10, 20 March 2024 (UTC)- Not done Only 3 undos here. --Min☠︎rax«¦talk¦» 03:19, 2 April 2024 (UTC)
Requests for autopatroller

As a global rollbacker, I'm technically already autopatrolled, but the autopatrol user group also includes patrol
, and I'd like to help out by patrolling acceptable edits by others as I go through recent changes --DannyS712 (talk) 18:41, 25 June 2020 (UTC)

Requests for removal of rights
[change]- Pmlineditor · (talk · contribs · deleted · cross-wiki · change count · entries created · auto edits · logs · block log · rights log · CentralAuth) (assign permissions)
Hi there. Per the desysop policy, I am proposing the procedural removal of Pmlineditor's rights under grounds of inactivity. His last edit was in August 2018 and he has not actively edited since early 2015, with his last logged action being in 2017. As always, should he return, he is more than free to request the rights back. Regards, Hiàn (talk) 14:34, 30 August 2019 (UTC)
- Sure, I don't mind either way. Pmlineditor (t · c · l) 15:59, 30 August 2019 (UTC)
- @Brett: Kindly remove the rights, this has been open for half a year. Minorax (talk) 05:40, 17 February 2020 (UTC)

- Hydriz · (talk · contribs · deleted · cross-wiki · change count · entries created · auto edits · logs · block log · rights log · CentralAuth) (assign permissions)
Hi there. Per the desysop policy, I am proposing the procedural removal of Hydriz's admin and bureaucrat rights under grounds of inactivity. His last edit, being in January 2019 (and last logged action being in December 2018) puts him over the inactivity threshold required. As always, should he return, he is more than free to request the rights back. Regards, Hiàn (talk) 05:30, 17 February 2020 (UTC)
- Unless Hydriz plans to re-activate his bot, I suggest removing the bot flag as well. Minorax (talk) 07:44, 17 February 2020 (UTC)
- I am quite new here but am sad that the two long serving admins / crats are asking for removal of their rights. Thanks for their contributions. But to remove the crat flag will leave this project with only 1 crat, which is quite low. --Camouflaged Mirage (talk) 09:22, 17 February 2020 (UTC)
- It's unfortunately par for the course for a small wiki, it seems. Hiàn (talk) 04:58, 18 February 2020 (UTC)
- Note: Notified Hydriz on their talk page as well. If there is no reply by next week, I will request for a steward to remove the crat bits. Minorax (talk) 04:53, 18 February 2020 (UTC)
- I made a mental note to notify Hydriz but clearly I didn't :/ Thanks for fixing that. Hiàn (talk) 04:58, 18 February 2020 (UTC)
- @Hiàn, Minorax: I think 7 days have elapsed since the request, how shall we proceed next here?--Camouflaged Mirage (talk) 08:26, 24 February 2020 (UTC)
- @Camouflaged Mirage: I'd generally prefer going with 7 days from the talk page notification, which is 04:53 25 Feb (UTC). Minorax (talk) 12:44, 24 February 2020 (UTC)
- To add, and it's abit out of scope here. Is there also a policy for inactive global rollbackers? Minorax (talk) 12:53, 24 February 2020 (UTC)
- Not that I know of.--Brett (talk) 13:24, 24 February 2020 (UTC)
- @Minorax: Agreed on the timing. Just a few more hours from now. As per the global rollbacker inactivity, it's 2 years w/o any edits on WMF projects. Regards,--Camouflaged Mirage (talk) 17:42, 24 February 2020 (UTC)
