Welcome to Simple English Wiktionary, the free dictionary written in simple English! You don't have to log in if you want to read or change the entries on Simple English Wiktionary, but making an account is fast, free and easy. You don't have to tell us anything about yourself, and it helps you in many ways, for example:

  • You can have a username of your choice
  • You can see a list of all the changes you have made (my changes)
  • You have your own user page
  • You have your own talk page which, if you choose, also allows users to send you messages without knowing your e-mail address
  • You have your own watchlist (my watched pages) to which you can add entries that interest you
  • You can change the way the website looks to you, and the way it works for you
  • You can ask to become an Administrator or Sysop (who can remove pages and put them back, protect them from being changed, edit protected pages, and block users for violation of our policies)
  • Your opinion can be counted in formal votes and elections, and on pages like requests for deletion

I believe I recognize you from Simple English Wikipedia, is that correct? If so, I know you likely will not create an account nor reply to any comments made to you. However, I would still like to say that we would appreciate it if you did. Like at SE Wikipedia, please, please, please remember to be neutral in your edits. You add good content (and large amounts of it) but we don't want to have to weigh the benefits of your additions against the problems caused by neutrality issues. I must say, however, that from what I have seen so far you are doing a better job here than at SE WP of being neutral. Also, it would be fantastic if you would try to follow the formatting we use here. You can see the changes that I have made to some of your additions. You can also reference Wiktionary:Entry layout explained or ask questions. At the very least, I hope that if you choose to remain silent and not create an account that you will listen to suggestions for improved edits. I look forward to (hopefully!) seeing your editing skills grow. Let me know if you need anything. Thanks. · Tygrrr... 20:30, 22 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This is the discussion page for a person who has not created an account yet, or who does not use it.

We have to use the numerical IP address to identify him/her. An IP address can be shared by many people. If you feel that things said here are not about you, you can create an account or log in to stop it happening again.
