Non-native English speakers are welcome to work on Simple English Wiktionary. To write here you need some English, because all our articles are in English. For many writers here English is not their first language.

What non-native English speakers write on Simple English Wiktionary is special and valuable. The standard of English in their entries is varied.

• Some need a lot of editing to correct grammar and spelling.
• Some need editing to find the meaning.
• Some just give a non-English feeling to the entries. Some readers like this.
