Welcome[change]

Hello, TCN7JM, and welcome to the Simple English Wiktionary!

We hope you will be happy editing here. Some helpful pages to begin with are Wiktionary:Community Portal, Wiktionary:Useful, Help:Contents, Wiktionary:Rules, Wiktionary:How to change a page, and Help:Creating a new entry.

If you want to talk with other members or ask a question, you can visit Wiktionary:Simple talk. Administrators can also help you with more difficult problems. You can also ask me for help. The best way to do that is to leave a message on my talk page. Just remember to sign your messages on talk pages by typing "~~~~" (four tildes) at the end of your words.

Good luck and happy editing! --Take a trip with Rani Rani 20:43, 14 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Replied on ST: note on entry format[change]

Hi. Please don't change definitions to terse dictionary definitions; you don't understand the layout of Simple English Wiktionary entries. Full sentence definitions are recommended. See the "definitions" recommendations in Wiktionary:Entry_layout_explained#The_basic_parts_of_an_entry. πr2 (talk • changes) 16:56, 16 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

In with PIR, I have decided to come back, I have read the following comments by you, TC. Just the thing, PIR's comment is in-fact bity. Which made me terribly sad. But TC, this is not Simple Wikipedia, it is Simple Wiktionary. And Hydriz is right, the policies over at SWikipedia is weird and totally unhelpful. This SWiktionary has meanings for me. Please, I am a new user. And I have seen you at SWikipedia, you were a bit notifying a bit. Anyways, Cheers --Take a trip with Rani Rani 17:04, 16 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
My comment is bitey? Huh? I was actually saying that TCN7JM was being bitey, but whatever... back to Meta and small wikis. πr2 (talk • changes) 17:15, 16 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Oops! I ment TC was bity. Real sorry for PIR. --Take a trip with Rani Rani 17:23, 16 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Heh heh. Wow. First off I can't bite a person that isn't a newcomer. He's already been blocked on one wiki. Second, how was I biting him. All the notifications on his talk page were written as neutrally as possible, as was the post at Simple talk.

Regarding the sentence thing, apologies. That was my own mistake, I'm not completely used to simplicity and whatnot. TCN7JM 21:43, 16 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The thing is this is not Simple Wikipedia. This is Simple Wiktionary, this is another wiki. Simple Wikipedia is not fit for a guy like me. Second, you were biting me because you were blaming me hard (by reporting it to Simple Talk). Get it now? --Take a trip with Rani Rani 21:49, 16 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Hi. I would prefer to not take sides here. This really doesn't need to be a dispute (and don't bring drama here if possible). The Simple English Wiktoinary is a different project from the Simple English Wikipedia. Someone who is blocked or banned on one is not necessarily blocked on the other. That, of course, does not mean that we shouldn't take into account a person's past record, if they have been very disruptive. However, in this case, I find Raninghai's edits to be helpful and in good-faith. I would support a 10 entry per day limit if that would make you happy. I also received some notices and advice when I started editing Wiktionary: User talk:PiRSquared17, as have lots of other users. πr2 (talk • changes) 21:54, 16 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
P.S. I'm sorry if calling your comment on Simple talk bitey offended you in any way. It just seemed "a little" discouraging to a new user. And, yes, I mean new to Wiktionary, not to all Wikimedia projects. It really was a reasonable topic of discussion, looking at it again. If you wish I will retract my "bitey" statement.
Looks like we can settle this peacefully, you know what they say, don't dwell on the past, :). Lets stop this and start moving forward! Are you in? :) --Take a trip with Rani Rani 21:57, 16 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Holy jeez. I call and order pizza and I have like three new replies, lol. I may have been bitey in a way, but it was probably because I was still a bit angry at Raninghai from SEWP, so I may have come off as a bit rushed and a bit upset. Raninghai's contributions are okay, and they're not as bad as I made them out to be, but they could use some work, as could mine. TCN7JM 22:08, 16 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
