Usage note[change]

Psychologists usually consider a narcissist to be on one side or far side of a continuum, viewing narcissism as a spectrum, wherein NPD (narcissistic personality disorder) is at the far end, but also recognizing healthier forms of narcissism nearer the middle of the spectrum. On the other end, often characterized by lots of empathy, many words are used by psychologists, including self-love deficient empath, codependent, echoist, or pertaining its manifestations such as self-deprecation, hedonophobe, cherophobe, or narcissizee, or primary narcissistic supply.
