Noun

[change]

Singular
homo

Plural
homos

  1. (technical); (biology) The genus idea of humans. This means "modern" people ("homo sapiens"), "cavemen," and what some people call "ape-men." This word is Latin but is also a science word in English; it is an evolutionary idea.
The genus homo is very confusing, I don't understand anything about it being "cave-men" or "ape-men", it was just normal people thousands of years ago, I don't understand this or evolution at all, I mean how could we have looked and been like that?.
  2. (slang); (vulgar) Short for homosexual.
