Null edits

[change]

Please do not make these sorts of edits (linked). These edits have no impact on how the page is seen and so there is no need for you to make them. They are actually unhelpful, as they just increase your edit count and take up unnecessary space in page histories. Thanks, --Ferien (talk) 20:54, 27 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

I apologize if I created problems. DerekSquared (talk) 00:46, 1 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

Welcoming users

[change]

Hello there. There is no need for you to welcome editors who have renamed users. They are not editing here on purpose, and while a welcome message is nice, it is likely that they don't intend to edit here so a welcome message is unnecessary. --Ferien (talk) 20:24, 30 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

I'll try to take that into consideration next time. DerekSquared (talk) 21:56, 30 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

User talk:Retardhater

[change]

The user you warned was already locked (see Special:Contributions/Retardhater), so a warning was not needed. Please check user status when sending warnings in future. MathXplore (talk) 09:04, 18 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Welcoming WMF staff

[change]

As same as global renamers that you welcomed previously, sending a welcome message is nice, but it is likely that WMF staff (User talk:Quiddity (WMF)) don't intend to edit here so a welcome message is maybe not needed. If you strongly believe it is needed, please let us know why.

Did you check this before sending a welcome message? MathXplore (talk) 04:20, 21 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

I did not check, but I clearly should have. I said this because it wouldn't help to lie, so I had to be open and honest here. DerekSquared (talk) 05:20, 21 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

This is not your first time to recieve messages about welcoming users. If you have any further questions about when and when not to welcome users, you may want to ask questions at Wiktionary:Simple talk. Thank you for your attention. MathXplore (talk) 09:13, 10 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

User talk:Barras/Archive 1

[change]

I'm not sure what Barras would think about this, but to be safe I suggest avoiding to make changes to archives made by others. MathXplore (talk) 07:30, 19 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

I thought the unsigned template was to be substituted. Also, I thought UTC was important clarification on unsigned tags. DerekSquared (talk) 07:34, 19 May 2023 (UTC)Reply
