Hi, and thanks for participating. In general, your definitions don't strike me as particularly simple. I suppose a difficult definition is better than none, but readers could just use the main English Wiktionary if that's what they wanted. Your simplified definition for "habitation" is a step in the right direction, but perhaps we could discuss which words need attention first and how to keep things simple. If, on the other hand, you're not into that, then happy editing.

One more thing: this site differs from English Wiktionary in that only English head words are included. As such, the ==English== heading is not used. Instead, the first heading should be ==Noun== or whatever.--Brett 01:33, 17 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much for telling me! My problem is: I'm not a native speaker. That seems not to be too bad in Simple WP, but might be very bad in Simple Wikt. - As I sometimes need words for the WP and my ability for explanations is not too good I take them from en:Wikt and simplify them if I can. - Therefore I don't try to really work here. But if I'm not too much of a nuisance (please tell me!) I'll come from time to time and shall put in a word or two. Thanks for telling me concerning the headings! --Cethegus 15:39, 18 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Understood. In that case, feel free to do what you can and leave it up to others to simplify. One thing that you can do is paste your articles here to check the word frequency. Generally all the words used should be within the first 2000 words of English. Also, if you write your definition more like an explanation (as if you're actually talking to someone), it's often simpler.--Brett 17:21, 18 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for the link. I found out (what I should have known) that result is much more common than outcome. I thought Latin words, hard words (what I as a foreigner had never understood). Now that was a mistake. --Cethegus 15:06, 19 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
