insinuate

[change]

Thank you for starting insinuate! I've modified it to match our guidelines. A few things you'll notice:

  • Unlike other wiktionaries, Simple English wiktionary only contains English words, so there is no language heading. This changes the heading level of everything else.
  • We don't typically include origins, but I've left it as there is no policy against it.
  • The explanation should be prefixed by a # and should be a complete sentence in almost all cases. The sentence should USE the word and not just mention it.
(use) If you insinuate a negative idea, you hint at it or suggest it without saying it directly.
(mention) Insiuate means to hint at or suggest something neagtive without saying it directly.

I hope that helps.--Brett (talk) 15:43, 22 December 2017 (UTC)Reply
