I am Ionas Freeman and I am a Wiktionarian living in Las Vegas, Nevada. I was born in 1996 in Phoenix, Arizona, and before I was one year old, my family moved. I have strongly leftist and socialist political beliefs. I also advocate a change in English orthography. It is a terrible system phonetically, with all the letters for the same sound (according to English orthography, the word "fish" can correctly be spelled ghoti), because with English orthography, there can be several spellings of one word, but many are considered incorrect. For a completely perfect orthography, every sound in the English language can be represented by a single letter. Each and every sound in the language is represented by one letter, and that letter will only represent one sound. "sh" will be pronounced IPA (key): [s.h], when a syllable ending in IPA (key): [s] precedes one beginning with IPA (key): [h], as in asshole (IPA (key): [ˈæs.hoɫ]). The orthography makes no sense and is probably difficult to comprehend for any non-native learning the language.
