Fractions like one third in general[change]

@Minorax:, I see two problems here. The first is that this is an infinite series. How far do we go? Second, one third is not a noun, but an NP composed of the determiner one and the noun third. This means that it should be excluded because it is the sum of its parts. It also means that if we decide to keep any of these, they should be categorized as expressions, not nouns. As for how we do we go, I think we can align to whether we have the cardinal number page. Minorax (talk) 03:50, 10 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
In the numerator, the denominator, or both? That's potentially an awful lot of fractions. Brett (talk) 10:55, 10 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
We are a simplified version of enwikt, so I think the total of fractions should never be larger than en:Category:English fractional numbers, though maybe the enwikt collection is too much for us. MathXplore (talk) 11:11, 10 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
At en:Category:English fractional numbers, they are categorized as a subcategory of English nouns, what would you think about this? MathXplore (talk) 11:09, 10 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
At the risk of sounding disputatious, we are by no means a simplified version of enwikt, and I would not go for their analysis, personally. Brett (talk) 21:30, 10 January 2024 (UTC)Reply
