Mismatch between documented QD A4 and actually used QD A4[change]

According to the current WT:AQD, QD A4 is a deletion criteria about notability (possible import from the simplewiki QD A4), though the actual QD A4 we are using is "No such word exists" (See special:redirect/logid/124696 for example). How can we clear the differences between them? MathXplore (talk) 02:18, 9 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Suggest changing the notability portion to a new shortcut, A5. Minorax (talk) 03:48, 9 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
If A5 is not being used for something else, then I don't think moving A4 to A5 would be an issue. MathXplore (talk) 04:16, 9 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, these should just be subsumed under "Encyclopedic entry" at MediaWiki:Deletereason-dropdown. Minorax (talk) 03:49, 9 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I think including to "Encyclopedic entry" will be OK. MathXplore (talk) 04:11, 9 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Edited into the MW page. Minorax (talk) 04:20, 9 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion criteria for files are missing[change]

On simplewiki there is w:Wikipedia:Deletion_policy#Files but there is no mention in our current version of documentation. Do we allow local file uploads to Simple English Wiktionary? MathXplore (talk) 06:03, 9 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

As far as I know, uploads are restricted to admins. So I don't think that there is a need to have a deletion rationale for files. Furthermore, the two files we host locally are archives of the project's logo. Minorax (talk) 06:25, 9 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you very much, if file uploads are restricted to admins, then there would be no urgent need to discuss that. MathXplore (talk) 07:17, 9 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Where is our revision deletion policy?[change]

At simplewiki there is w:WP:REVDEL, but I didn't see our rules for revision deletion at this page. Have we discussed this at somewhere else, or is there a related draft in someone's userspace? MathXplore (talk) 08:56, 9 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Not as far as I know.--Brett (talk) 20:27, 14 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for the information. I think this is an important procedure, and having a documented policy or guideline would be better than nothing. I suggest simply following w:WP:REVDEL, can this be acceptable for this project? MathXplore (talk) 08:16, 15 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
No objection from me. Brett (talk) 11:46, 15 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
