Namespace detect

Hello Barras,

Template:namespace detect, is very much needed contrary to your reason for deletion because of {{Mbox}} templates. Please restore it if you can. Thanks. Wpeaceout (talk) 00:36, 1 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Rename request (Again! Excuse me! :S)

Hi Barras! The privacy concern I had is over, after some kind of "agreement" with the person who was stalking (the reason why I renamed). Could you please rename me back to "Diego Grez"? I'm sorry if this rename does disturb you once more =D Cheers, Diego Grez let's talk 03:07, 5 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

!

[1] = I had no idea the main page was unprotected. Who allowed that to happen?! :-\ Thanks for catching it, anyway. Tempodivalse [talk] 20:11, 24 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

It was only semi protected for years. We never really had any vandal here. But spoiling the main page is a no-go, so I fully protected it. -Barras (talk) 20:35, 24 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Transitive, intransitive, countable

Hi, Barras

You seem to be a little confused about the meanings of transitive, intransitive, and countable. Wikipedia is a common name, and common names are typically taken to be uncountable. If it were countable, then it would usually require a determiner such that people would have to talk about the Wikipedia, a Wikipedia, etc. That's not to say that they can't be plural, (e.g., There are two Bretts in my class or I edit both the English and Japanese Wikipedias), but it does mean that this is not the typical way these are used.

Transitive verbs take objects. For unbosom, you added the transitive template to a definition that begins "Used without an object", which itself shouldn't be there, but... You labeled coordinate transitive when the definition has "coordinate with". A verb followed by a preposition has no object (phrasal verbs aside). The words spray and rattle are good as far as they go, but spray can also be uncountable (e.g., spray flew up from the falls) and rattle can also be intransitive (e.g. my car rattles a lot).--Brett (talk) 12:13, 9 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for telling me, Brett. I will try to improve with your tips. I usually checked with this website if the word is intransitive or transitive. I think I just mixed those up a bit. -Barras (talk) 12:23, 9 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Barnstar Congratulations: You have been given a Barnstar!

To you, the editor's barnstar! All too well deserved. I think Special:Recentchanges spells it out. Keep up the diligent work, mate, it is much appreciated by all who use this wiki. Arbitrarily0 (talk) 13:38, 4 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much! -Barras (talk) 13:39, 4 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Request for permission

Hi Barras. Excuse me for the intrusion, but since there are not lots of sysops here, can I report you this? Thanks, --Frigotoni ...i'm here; 14:11, 11 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I rarely grant this right, as mostly people ask for those rights go inactive anyway... -Barras (talk) 14:48, 11 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Request to change the protection level of Main Page

Hi Barras, can you unprotect the Main Page so that only non-autoconfirmed users cannot edit the page? Vandalism on this wiki seems to be reduced and I do have some changes that I might need to make urgently. Thanks! --Hydriz (talk) 14:43, 3 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
