Hello, Streetdeck, and welcome to the Simple English Wiktionary!

We hope you will be happy editing here. Some helpful pages to begin with are Wiktionary:Community Portal, Wiktionary:Useful, Help:Contents, Wiktionary:Rules, Wiktionary:How to change a page, and Help:Creating a new entry.

If you want to talk with other members or ask a question, you can visit Wiktionary:Simple talk. Administrators can also help you with more difficult problems. You can also ask me for help. The best way to do that is to leave a message on my talk page. Just remember to sign your messages on talk pages by typing "~~~~" (four tildes) at the end of your words.

Good luck and happy editing! --Minorax (talk) 14:53, 11 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

 Sorry, why did you request
 to delete my user page?

IP addresses often change as it's dynamic and may be shared among multiple users. I'm not sure if simplewikt allow that (it might be my mistake!), will leave it to local sysops, thanks. Aqurs1 (talk) 18:11, 3 May 2025 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for the response. Not overly familiar with whose talk page such questions go to. Dynamic addresses are allowed by function of the fact that it is actionable in the first place. If they wanted to restrict that, they would. I have always been confused by this policy. It is just as easy in principle to create multiple accounts on one address, or on varying addresses, so why are address based editors second class? Not complaining as it is probably not your provenance, but wondering, and if you have any insight it would be welcome, as you appear to be somewhat established in the ecosystem. 74.102.207.128 (talk) 18:26, 3 May 2025 (UTC)Reply
