Welcome. Our policy is that images cannot be uploaded directly to the Simple English Wiktionary, and any images uploaded here will be deleted. Please upload any images to the Wikimedia Commons. Images uploaded there can be used in Simple English Wiktionary entries in the usual way. Thank you.

Please remember to substitute this template by using {{subst:uw-upload}} instead of {{uw-upload}}.

This template is used to give a warning to users about uploading images to Wiktionary.

Usage

| 1 = The file that the user uploaded without the "File:" prefix
| 2 = Any additional comments to add
| icon = The icon to use
| subst = Whether or not to substitute the template parameters, accepts "subst:" or blank
}}

This template should be substituted on the respective user talk page, while adding a signature just after that. For example:
