Deception is word #7783 in COCA at 5.79 instances per million words. Trick is #2776 at 36.82 pmw. Even putting deceive and deception together, trick is much more common. Consider something like "Fraud is the act of tricking others to get something they don't deserve or aren't allowed to have." Brett (talk) 12:23, 14 June 2024 (UTC)Reply
