English: The long coat and full trousers stamp her as an inheritor of an Eastern culture. The veil has been discarded by many of the Moslem sections of the heterogeneous population of Macedonia, who, freed from the Turk, have grown accustomed to the sight of Christian macedonian women, and now unblushingly expose their features, delighting in the comfort and freedom which this new fashion entails
