  1. Pants are a type of cloths worn on the legs. A pair of pants has a covering for each leg.
    Pants were traditionally worn by men, but now women wear them too.

Note: To talk about one piece of clothing we say, "a pair of pants." For more than one we say, "pairs of pants." You can just say "pants" for one pair.
