Hello, DavidWS, and welcome to the Simple English Wiktionary!

We hope you are happy editing here. Some helpful pages to begin with are Wiktionary:Community Portal, Wiktionary:Useful, Help:Contents, Wiktionary:Rules, and Wiktionary:How to edit.

If you want to talk with other members or ask a question, you can visit Wiktionary:Simple talk. Administrators can also help you with more difficult problems. You can also ask me for help. The best way to do that is to leave a message on my talk page. Just remember to sign your messages on talk pages by typing "~~~~" (four tildes) at the end of your words.

Good luck and happy editing!--Brett 18:14, 27 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Format[change]

Unlike most wiktionary projects, SE is a monolingual dictionary. As such, ==English== is not needed. Also, the lexical category is a level 2 heading (e.g., ==Noun==) rather than a level 3 as it would be elsewhere.--Brett 17:13, 28 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ah. I was sorta just making them in the normal wiktionary format without thinking, I did know that. Thanks for reminding me, I'll go change my entries to reflect that. DavidWS (contribs) 17:14, 28 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Morphological comparatives and superlatives are pretty manual: {{adjective|strong|stronger|strongest}}. Phrasals are like this: {{adjective|more=true}}--Brett 18:20, 28 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! I understood the more=true and that, what I meant was on the page of the superlative. I did it manually. DavidWS (contribs) 18:21, 28 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
