I find this wording to be confusing: "A minor musical scale is a scale that starts two notes before the scale". Any chance I could get you to clarify some? :-) · Tygrrr... 18:14, 28 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, I left out the word major -- I changed this because any scale could have flats or sharps. The important thing is how the beginning of the scale ("tonal center") compares to where the flats are. That and that picking a scale is often to create a mood for the music.--Jared 18:27, 28 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
